Growing Better with WaterSOLV™ Curative

Lower River Ranch, located in Buckeye, Arizona, has been applying WaterSOLV™ Curative to their entire alfalfa farm for a year and a half. At first, we started with a couple of 3-acre alfalfa borders just to see what type of results we could expect.


After just two to three applications, we began to see a 300/400 lbs. bump in yield, per acre, per cutting. Now, this was not on every test plot we were working on, but it was the norm. Some of the borders we were testing did not see that big of an increase at first, but as the time went on, and the product had more time to work, we did begin to see that same increase in yield.

Two to three months on the product, the next set of results started to roll in, this time it was to deal with the water. The farmer does all the irrigation himself, so he knows the timing of every field, as well as every border. The farmer let us know that the water going through the treated border, was taking 15 to 20 minutes longer than the other borders that were not being treated. This told us that the water was going down deeper into the soil, something that was going to be a real game changer.



Now, their nearly 600-acre farm is being treated with WaterSOLV™ Curative everywhere, and the results kept getting better and better. Now the water, on average, is taking 30 to 45 minutes longer to get through each border, along with the amount of tail water coming out of the field drastically decline to nearly none. The water was going deeper than ever before and allowing the soil to keep the moisture longer, rather than have the heat steal it all away during the day. In terms of yield, we saw a 450/650 yield increase on average across the farm compared to the other alfalfa fields in the Buckeye area.

 

Recently, a new result that we have noted is taking place on a field of alfalfa on their farm that has been on WaterSOLV™ Curative for over a year now. This field was last cut on May 12th, 2024, after the cutting the moisture in the field was remarkable good, prompting us to recommend that we hold off on watering the field for a while. Every time that field was checked, the moisture deep in the soil was great, the alfalfa plants were responding well the whole time. Keep in mind, the average temperature during the day were reaching 105/110 degrees Fahrenheit. Coming up on 10 days to harvest, we recommended the field to be irrigated so the next cutting still had good moisture to grow back, rather than hope the moisture stays.

 

Prior to this most recent irrigation on the 4th of June, the field had not been irrigated since April 28th, 2024, making it 38 days without the need for an irrigation. All the while, the alfalfa was growing remarkably. 4 days before cutting, the alfalfa was 34”-38” with little blooming. A yield report was done, and that fields results in tons per acre came back at 1.61 tons per acre. For reference, the average yield in Buckeye in June is right around 1.2 – 1.5 tons per acre with two irrigation per cutting, rather than the one we had.



These results are showing us that getting the water deeper is not only saving on water cost, it's producing more with less while being treated with WaterSOLV™ Curative.

Update - 06/18/2024

The field's stand is seven years old, cut on the 27th day. Please note, two other fields had the same irrigation scheule and same cutting dates, they yeilded 1.78 tons per acre and 1.81 tons per acre. Both of these fields are in their second year as a stand.
